As our review is underway, we remember the suffering endured by Inuit, First Nations, and M茅tis Peoples affected by Canada鈥檚 residential school system, and like Canadians across the country, share a profound sorrow for this painful legacy.
Canada鈥檚 Bishops remain deeply committed to walking with Indigenous partners on the healing and reconciliation journey.
Recognizing that truth must come before reconciliation, we will continue listening, learning, and supporting survivors and Indigenous communities in determining the truth of residential schools.
