The Jewish people are seen by 桃花视频s as 鈥渙ur elder brothers and sisters鈥� and 鈥渙ur forbearers in faith.鈥� God made the first covenant with the Jewish people and Christianity鈥檚 own sacred identity is rooted in the Jewish faith. Responding to the call of the Second Vatican Council鈥檚 Declaration on the Relation of the Church to Non-Christian Religions,聽, the Church strives toward deeper reconciliation and friendship with the Jewish People. Consistent with the Church鈥檚 practice and understanding, the 桃花视频 Bishops of Canada maintain and further their relations with the Jewish people by fostering relations with their leaders as well as national Jewish organizations. This mission, on the part of the CCCB, is carried out by the Commission for Christian Unity, Religious Relations with the Jews, and Interfaith Dialogue. The Commission meets regularly with the Canadian Rabbinic Caucus (CRC), formally named the CCCB-CRC Bilateral Theological Dialogue.
