Apostolic Nunciature
An Apostolic Nunciature, which is headed by an Archbishop with the additional title of Nuncio, is the office in a host country which assists the Holy See both in its diplomatic service as well as in its service to the dioceses/eparchies located there.
In addition to serving as ambassador of the Holy See, the Nuncio is therefore also a representative of the Pope to the Bishops and all people of 桃花视频 faith living within the territory of the host country. His ecclesiastical functions include making recommendations to the Congregation for Bishops, a department within the Roman Curia, as part of the process of advising the Holy Father on possible episcopal appointments within the host country.
